I’m sitting here having my morning coffee and looking around my nearly-empty apartment. Skyler and I are moving out at the end of this month, and we’ve already taken most of our things to his parents’ house. They’re going to store our possessions for a few months while we go on a summer roadtrip! It’s super weird because we’ve lived in this townhome ever since we moved to Denton three years ago. As much as I love being in this location, since I graduated university I really just want a fresh start in a new home. So the road will be our home for a few months as we explore the West Coast (AKA the BEST coast). Then after that: who knows! We’ll figure out where we want to be. In preparation for our roadtrip I decided to order some bikinis from the trendy online store Zaful.
I had seen their ads all over Instagram and had been wanting to order from them for a while. There were two different bikinis in particular that I had my eye on.
The first was the Low Waisted Padded Scoop Bikini Set in the color Jacinth (which is just a fancy word for reddish-orange).
I thought this bikini was super cute because you can see that it has a texture to it. I was super unsure as to what size I should order, because I am a little bustier up top. Unfortunately, Zaful doesn’t let you purchase a different sizes in the top and bottom, so I read through the reviews to get an idea of how the suit fits. Most girls my height and weight were ordering smalls, so (against my better judgement) I ordered a small. To be clear, I’m 5’4 and 115 lbs. I typically wear a D cup in bras but I don’t actually wear bras anymore, just bralettes, so I think I underestimated my boobs. Looking back this was such a dumb idea on my part but I had read conflicting reviews about how it fits too small, too large, or true to size. I wish I had just stuck with a good ole medium because the small just doesn’t fit me well as you will see.
I know Zaful’s swimsuits are supposed to be a bit more cheeky and revealing, and I’m totally okay with that! I just should’ve ordered a medium instead of a small. The bottoms fit well enough, but the top is definitely too small for me. The side boob is serious with this suit.
The bottoms are on the cheeky side and when you’re walking around at the beach or lake they will definitely ride up your butt. Even though I think I should’ve ordered a medium in this suit, I’m still going to keep it. I plan on doing a lot of swimming this summer and I’m not going to waste a cute suit like this one. Sure, I could send it back and get a medium but I’m too lazy for that. I definitely won’t be wearing this to any family backyard parties, but if it’s just me and Skyler I don’t mind wearing it, side boob and all.
The second suit I ordered is the Knotted Scoop Bikini Top & Bottoms in Lake Green.
I had seen this one all over Instagram and had been wanting it for the longest time. I ordered a small in this suit too and was pleasantly surprised that it fits me comfortably.
My boobs aren’t constricted and they don’t hang out like they do in the orange suit. The material is insanely comfortable and the color is so cute.
The bottoms are so comfortable and the perfect amount of cheeky. There is a little side boob but nothing too crazy. The only thing that sucks about this suit is that the straps aren’t adjustable. That’s why I’m relieved that I ordered a small and not a medium. The straps do sit a little awkwardly on your shoulders, almost a little too loose for me. I think if it had a adjustable straps it would be better, because it’s just not reasonable to think it’s going to fit every body type in the shoulders and chest area. I know Zaful is all about suits riding up and showing your underboob, but you can just adjust it every so often by pulling the top down a little and it’s fine.
I tried this one out at the lake and it was great, even when it got wet in the water.
I have yet to actually swim in the orange suit and I’m not sure when I will. Out of these two, the green suit is hands down my favorite. In total, I only payed $29.25 for this whole order, which is such a deal. I usually can’t even purchase just a top or bottom for that amount. My order probably took around 10 days or so to get here, which isn’t bad at all. If you are purchasing from Zaful, I would recommend reading all the reviews. Clearly a size small fit me in the green suit but I needed a medium in the orange suit. That tells me that the sizing can be inconsistent. Read the reviews and try to find other buyers with your body type and go from there.
In my opinion, Zaful is definitely worth it. It’s inexpensive and the pieces are quite trendy. I will definitely order from them again in the future.
What about you guys? Have any of you ordered from Zaful, and do you love it or hate it? Let me know in the comments below!♡
