I’ve been saving my empties from this month, and I can’t wait to finish this blog post so I can chuck them into the recycling! I didn’t finish much this month, but I have a ton of things that are soo close to being finished off.
My first two empties are the travel sized Dr. Bronner’s 18-in-1 Hemp Citrus Pure Castile Soap, and the Yes To Coconut Ultra Hydrating Facial Soufflé Moisturizer.
Dr. Bronner’s 18-in-1 Hemp Citrus Pure Castile Soap: You guys know I love Dr. Bronner’s. I use this stuff for everything, and I really liked the scent of this citrus one. I’m trying to try all the scents to figure out which one I like the best. Would definitely repurchase.
Yes To Coconut Ultra Hydrating Facial Soufflé Moisturizer: I reviewed this moisturizer a few months back, and at the time I was on the fence about it. I liked it, but I didn’t really love it, and I don’t think I ever saw myself repurchasing it. I started using it a lot as a nighttime moisturizer since it’s a heavier cream, and I found that I really did love the way it made my skin feel. I used it a ton this summer, and I went through a coconut scent phase so I liked it even more because of that. I was definitely sad to see it go, and would 100% definitely repurchase.
Lab For You Juice Up Kale Mask: I got this mask in my August Ipsy bag, and was really excited to try it out. Here’s an excerpt from the package:
“Kale, pack of vitamins and beta-carotene, is the best anti-stress and redness relief treatment for your skin.” – Lab For You
My skin goes through phases were it looks really great and I have no complaints, and then a week before my period it gets dry, red, and prone to breakouts (what I’m dealing with rn). I used this mask a few nights ago with the hope that it would help settle some of my skin woes, and although it felt really nice on my skin, I sadly didn’t notice a difference in the way my skin looked or felt. Would not repurchase.
I went through my makeup collection yesterday to take inventory of what I owned, and decided I needed to toss a few things that weren’t getting any use from me.
Australian Gold Tattoo Stick: I got this tattoo stick sunscreen three years ago when I was working at a tanning salon. I’ve used it here and there, and it smells quite nice, but honestly it’s probably expired by now (and I’m tired of looking at it).
Eyeko London Skinny Liquid Eyeliner in Black: Boy did I have high hopes for this. My best friend Emily is absolutely in love with this eyeliner, and I’m obsessed with Eyeko’s mascaras, so I thought this might actually be a felt tip liner I would like (I normally despise felt tip liners). Well, I hate it. I think it’s such a difficult product to work with and I can barely get any color payoff with it. I’ll be giving it to Emily since she loves it, and at least it will get used that way.
Urban Decay Naked Smoky Palette: Oh my god. I have never despised a palette this much in my life. Emily gave me this after she passed on it since she doesn’t wear cool/dark colors (I don’t either lol). I really, realllyyyy tried to like it, but I can’t believe a brand like Urban Decay actually released this shit show of a palette. The only colors that I can get to work for me are High and Thirteen, so I’ll be depotting those. The rest are a patchy, powdery, non-pigmented mess. I could go on and on about how much I hate this palette, and it makes me never want to buy any eyeshadows from Urban Decay. Yikes.
That’s it for my September Empties + Declutter! I hope you guys are having the loveliest weekend🖤
