Last month my husband Skyler and I decided that we seriously needed some photos of us together.
Despite taking photos of anything and everything, Skyler hates getting his photo taken. That seems to be such a guy thing, and it’s so frustrating because as a couple, I love having photos of us together to look back on. So I bitched and moaned for months, and kept suggesting different friends of ours that could do our photos. However, we planned on using them for our website and didn’t want other people’s content in the same place that we were trying to sell our own.

Yesterday I had the pleasure of shooting with my best friend of 10+ years. Emma and I met in elementary school, became friends in middle school, and continued our friendship throughout college.
We have a lot in common. We’re both married and we both have a passion for our businesses. Emma is a momma-to-be, and the face and owner of The Cotton House Trading Co., an awesome online boutique with women’s apparel, shoes, jewelry, and other fun accessories. Emma has always been passionate about fashion, so I’m super proud that she’s following her dreams. It takes a lot to run a successful business, and I’m stoked to see where she’s headed.
Last fall I tagged along with Skyler to photograph a beautiful backyard reception. The bride and groom had eloped in the mountains of Colorado in a small ceremony surrounded only by their close loved ones.
