Last month my husband Skyler and I decided that we seriously needed some photos of us together.
Despite taking photos of anything and everything, Skyler hates getting his photo taken. That seems to be such a guy thing, and it’s so frustrating because as a couple, I love having photos of us together to look back on. So I bitched and moaned for months, and kept suggesting different friends of ours that could do our photos. However, we planned on using them for our website and didn’t want other people’s content in the same place that we were trying to sell our own.
So, we decided to just set up a tripod and do them ourselves. Read More »
It’s a rainy Wednesday in north Texas today. It stormed all day yesterday and it’s supposed to storm most of today. I’m taking some time to relax with my dog, have a few cups of coffee, watch some youtube videos, and maybe do a bit of reading too. Rainy days are always the best when you don’t have much going on and you can lay around the house without feeling bad. As much as I appreciate a rainy day, I am ready for some sunshine so we can do some photo shoots.
Yesterday I had the pleasure of shooting with my best friend of 10+ years. Emma and I met in elementary school, became friends in middle school, and continued our friendship throughout college.
We have a lot in common. We’re both married and we both have a passion for our businesses. Emma is a momma-to-be, and the face and owner of The Cotton House Trading Co., an awesome online boutique with women’s apparel, shoes, jewelry, and other fun accessories. Emma has always been passionate about fashion, so I’m super proud that she’s following her dreams. It takes a lot to run a successful business, and I’m stoked to see where she’s headed.
One of my favorite months (besides October of course) by far. March has it all for me. The beginning of spring, wildflowers sprouting, warm weather, and the time change have me so excited for summer. One of the perks of living in North Texas is how fast the weather warms up. I’m sure I’ll be wishing for cold days once July rolls around, but for now I’m seriously enjoying these warm and sunny afternoons.
I didn’t think Ipsy would keep killing it, but they are consistently surprising me as each month seems to get better and better.Read More »
Face masks are one of my absolute favorite ways to rejuvenate my skin and relax after a long day. I’m always on the lookout for new and interesting face masks because it’s such a fun process and makes me feel so pampered. Anything that promises hydration and radiance has me sold. So, when I saw these super inexpensive Neutrogena face masks at Walmart for only $2.50, I knew that I had to at least try them.
So I feel like probably every skincare/beauty blogger has already talked about this product, but I’m just going to add to the hype. I’ve never really had any type of skin issues. Even as a teenager, my skin rarely gave me any troubles. Sure, I’d have an occasional blemish here and there, but nothing so drastic that I ever had to search high and low for some miracle skincare products.
